Step 1

Pour one cup of cornstarch into a large bowl or tray.

Slowly add half cup of water while mixing gently with your hands.

Step 3

Add food colouring if desired and mix it in.

Step 4

Try hitting the Oobleck quickly with your fist — it feels solid.

Step 5

Pick it up slowly and watch it drip like liquid — discuss why this happens.
