📋 How to Do This Activity

Step 1

Lay out coloured blocks in a repeating colour pattern and ask child to continue it — red, blue, red, blue...

Step 2

String beads in a numerical pattern — 1 bead, 2 beads, 3 beads — and discuss what comes next.

Step 3

Use number cards to create a skip-counting sequence — 2, 4, 6, 8 or 5, 10, 15, 20.

Step 4

Identify odd and even numbers by sorting number cards into two groups using coloured counters.

Step 5

Create a hundreds grid and colour the skip-counting numbers to see patterns visually.
