Ice Cream in a Bag

📋 How to Do This Activity

Step 1

Mix milk, sugar and vanilla extract in the small zip-lock bag and seal tightly.

Step 2

Fill the large zip-lock bag halfway with ice cubes.

Step 3

Add salt to the ice in the large bag — salt lowers the freezing point of ice.

Step 4

Place the small sealed bag inside the large bag of salted ice and seal.

Step 5

Shake the bag vigorously for 5 to 8 minutes — the mixture will freeze into ice cream.
