📋 What Information We Collect
When you register for any STEMLab India programme, competition, workshop or event, we collect the following information:
- Student details — full name, age, grade, school name, school board
- Parent or guardian details — full name, email address, mobile number, city and state
- Submitted content — videos, project photos or model descriptions submitted for competitions
- Payment information — handled entirely and securely by Razorpay. We do not collect or store your card number, UPI ID or banking details at any point
- Website usage — basic cookies required for the website to function. We do not use tracking, advertising or third-party analytics cookies
🎯 Why We Collect It
- To confirm your child's registration and send payment receipts
- To communicate competition details, session schedules, results and certificates by email
- To provide course updates, programme information and important announcements
- To review and judge competition submissions fairly
- To improve our courses and events based on participation and feedback
🔐 How We Store Your Data
- Registration data is stored securely in Google Drive under our official STEMLab India account
- Payment data is stored and secured entirely by Razorpay — India's leading payment gateway. We never see your full card or banking details
- Submitted competition videos are stored in a secured Google Drive folder accessible only to the STEMLab India judging team
- We do not use any third-party marketing, advertising or analytics tools that could access your data
- We do not sell, rent, trade or share your personal information with any third party for commercial purposes — ever
👧 Children's Data — Special Care
We treat all student data with the highest level of care and sensitivity.
- Student names, photos, videos and personal details are never shared publicly without explicit parent consent
- We do not display any child's face publicly under any circumstances
- Competition submissions are used only for judging purposes and internal review
- If we wish to use any student content for promotional purposes, we will seek separate written consent from the parent or guardian
🔒 We follow strict child safety standards. No child's personal information is ever visible to the public or shared outside the STEMLab India team.
✅ Your Rights
- Right to access — you can request to see all data we hold about you or your child at any time
- Right to deletion — you can request complete deletion of your data. We will delete within 7 working days
- Right to correction — if any information we hold is incorrect, you can request us to correct it
- Right to unsubscribe — you can opt out of our email communications at any time by replying STOP to any email
🗓️ How Long We Keep Your Data
- Competition data — retained for 1 year after the competition end date, then deleted
- Course and programme data — retained for 2 years after course completion, then deleted
- Payment records — retained as required by Indian GST and tax laws
- You can request early deletion of your data at any time by emailing us

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our programmes grow. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically. Continued use of STEMLab India services after any changes means you accept the updated policy.
